General
General & Class Policies
- RippnerTennis is a tennis-only facility. Courts may not be used for pickleball or other sports.
- 24-hour cancellation policy. Late cancellations and class, location, and level switches within 24 hours are charged in full. Earlier cancellations receive account credit only.
- Adult clinics are for participants ages 16 and up. Players 16 and older must register with their own account to sign up for clinics. If a junior signs up for an adult clinic, they are not eligible for a refund.
- External coaching is not permitted. Only RippnerTennis coaches may provide instruction. This includes parents and spectators, who may not coach players from the sidelines, fence, or stands during a session.
- Gift certificates are non-refundable.
- Clinics are non-transferable and non-refundable.
- Coach assignments may change without notice.
- Late arrivals of 15 minutes or more may result in forfeiting your spot and no refund.
- Players registered for an incorrect level may be asked to switch to a more appropriate class. If no suitable classes are available at that time, the player is not eligible for a refund.
- Court assignments are subject to change. The court you reserve is not guaranteed, and you may be moved to a different court as needed.
- Visitors and parents are not allowed to be on court for the duration of a clinic.
- RippnerTennis is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Unclaimed belongings will be donated or discarded as needed.
General
Private Lesson Policies
- Booking and payment. Private lessons are paid in advance at the time of booking. Current pricing is listed on the Private Lessons page.
- Lesson lengths. Private lessons are offered in 30, 60, and 90-minute sessions.
- Adding players to a private lesson. If you are bringing additional players, add them while you book so the correct rate is applied up front. Bookings made without those players added are charged at the single-player private rate, and any additional players who show up will be charged at the front desk when they check in. If that happens, email us at info@rippnertennis.com after your lesson and we will review the booking and issue any refund you are owed. Adding your players in advance is always the faster route, since it prices the lesson correctly the first time and there is nothing to sort out afterward.

Cancellations
Weather Policy
RippnerTennis programs and court reservations run in a wide range of conditions. Weather is evaluated using actual air temperature and wind as reported by AccuWeather — not “real feel,” heat index, or wind chill.
A participant is eligible to cancel and receive account credit when the weather at the scheduled start time meets any of the following:
- Temperature at or below 32°F, or
- Temperature at or above 104°F, or
- Sustained winds at or above 30 mph.
To receive credit, notice must be given at least 2 hours before the scheduled start time. If the weather does not meet these criteria, or notice is given less than 2 hours before start, the standard cancellation policy applies.
Rain Cancellation Credit
Credit is returned as a dollar amount based on the clinic price and the minutes completed before cancellation. Credits apply toward future bookings.

Camps
Camp Cancellation Policy
Camps run rain or shine, and no refund will be granted for rain-related cancellations.
- More than 6 days (144+ hours) before camp start: Full Credit Refund.
- Between 3 and 6 days (72–144 hours) before camp start: 50% Credit Refund.
- Less than 48 hours before camp start: No Credit Refund.
Low Attendance Camp Policy
- If there are 1 to 2 players registered, camp will be shortened to 90 minutes.
- If there are 3 players registered, camp duration will be reduced to 2 hours.
Late Pick-Up Policy
- A late pick-up fee of $0.50 per minute applies for campers picked up after the scheduled end time.
Semester Programs
Semester Program Policies
What to Bring & What to Wear
- Tennis racquet (demo racquets are available on site), a water bottle, and sunscreen.
- Tennis shoes ideally; running shoes are okay for beginner levels. No sandals or casual footwear.
- Athletic clothing that allows full movement, and a positive attitude ready to participate.
Missed Classes & Make-Up Policy
Make-up allowance is determined by program length.
- 4-week programs: no make-up tokens; missed classes are forfeited.
- 8-week programs: one (1) general make-up token per player.
- 12-week programs: two (2) general make-up tokens per player.
- Tokens are valid for regular drop-in clinics only (not high-intensity, extended, or match-play clinics).
- Make-ups must be requested by email with at least 5 hours' advance notice of the absence, then scheduled in advance and subject to availability.
- To use a make-up token, email at least 24 hours before the class you'd like to attend so we have time to confirm your spot.
- Tokens are non-transferable, may only be used by the registered player, and must be used within the active semester; unused tokens do not roll over.
- A 24-hour cancellation notice is required on a scheduled make-up class; late cancellations or no-shows forfeit the token.
- Weather cancellations are communicated by email, so keep the correct email on file. Weather make-ups use the drop-in schedule; email in advance to indicate which class you'll attend.

Progress & Level Placement
- Advancement between levels is not automatic and may take multiple semesters.
- It is the player's responsibility to confirm the correct level before registering; attend a drop-in clinic or private lesson if unsure.
- Players registered for the wrong level will be moved to an appropriate class if space is available. If no appropriate spot is open, no refund is issued.
Cancellation & Class Switch Policy
All cancellation deadlines are based on the program's start date, regardless of the day you enrolled.
- Full account credit: Cancel by end of day, 14 days before the semester start date.
- 50% account credit: Cancel by end of day, 7 days before the semester start date.
- No refunds after the 7-day-before cutoff.
- The Adult Semester Program is restricted to players 16 and older. If a player under 16 registers, standard cancellation policies apply.
Low Enrollment Policy
- If only one player is enrolled, alternative days or program options are offered when available; if none fit, a full account credit is issued.
- 1.5-hour sessions with two players convert to 1-hour sessions.
Facilities
Court Reservation Policies
Reserve via the RippnerTennis app, online, or by contacting the pro shop. Advance booking up to 48 hours; courts open daily at 8:45am.
- Court reservations may be canceled for account credit up to 5 hours before the reserved start time. Cancellations made less than 5 hours in advance are not eligible for credit, except under the Weather Policy below.
- Singles reservations up to 90 minutes; doubles reservations up to 120 minutes.
- Reservations with only two players are limited to 90 minutes. A two-player group that has booked a longer block will have their court time shortened to 90 minutes at check-in, unless they choose to pay for the additional time.
- Ball machine use is available only on designated courts — please check before booking: at SATC, courts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, and 10; at Pharr, courts 7 and 8; and at Wilco, courts 1, 2, 3, and 4. Reservations booked on any other court cannot accommodate the ball machine, and such bookings may not be eligible for a refund.
- At Wilco, the ball machine may only be reserved Monday–Friday 3–9 PM and weekends 8 AM–1 PM.
- Only RippnerTennis employees may provide coaching or programming.
- Only players listed on the reservation are permitted on court.
- All participants must check in with the pro shop prior to play.
- Court assignments are subject to change; the reserved court is not guaranteed.
- No refunds after fees are processed.
- Payment for court reservations is made at the time of booking.
- It is the participant’s responsibility to keep account notifications enabled (email and/or app) in order to receive cancellation notices and other communications. Participants who do not have notifications enabled release RippnerTennis from any liability for missed notifications and are not eligible for refunds or credits resulting from notices they did not receive.

At our Wilco location, court fees are $4 for all ages.
The junior and senior court-fee discounts at SATC and PHARR apply only when the player’s age is entered in their account profile. Players who have not added their age will be charged the standard adult rate and are not eligible for a refund of the difference.
Racket Services
Stringing Policies
Services, string selection, and pricing are listed on the Stringing Services page.
Acknowledgement & Liability
By submitting your racket for stringing service, you acknowledge that RippnerTennis is not responsible for:
- Damage caused by exceeding recommended tension.
- Faulty or worn grommets.
- Used strings provided by the customer.
- Frame damage, as stringers do not perform any work on the frame during the stringing process.
- Personal accessories (e.g., dampeners, bags).
- String breakage from mishits, shanks, or normal play after the racket has been returned to the customer.
Service Notes
- Natural gut is fragile and may break during stringing; it is strung at your own risk.
- If you have a color preference, let us know at drop-off and we’ll do our best to accommodate it, but colors cannot be guaranteed. Not all string colors are available at all times; if your preference is unavailable, we’ll use what’s in stock.
- Report stringing issues within 7 days of pickup.
- Rackets left over 60 days may become property of RippnerTennis.
Racket Services
Demo Racket Policies
Available demo rackets are listed on the Demo Rackets page.
- ID / key deposit required. A valid ID or set of keys must be left at the front desk for the duration of your demo. Your deposit is returned when the racket is checked back in.
- Free during clinics & private lessons. Demo rackets are available at no charge during all clinics and private lesson sessions. Just ask at the front desk before your session.
- $5 fee during court reservations. A $5 demo fee applies when using a demo racket during a standard court reservation. The fee is collected at the front desk at time of checkout.
- Liability. By taking a demo racket you accept full financial responsibility for any damage or breakage. The full replacement cost of the racket will be charged if it is broken or lost.
