Special Announcement

As you may already know, the City of Austin has ordered: "All facilities and park amenities will remain closed. This includes facilities previously reopened such as cultural facilities, pools, golf courses, tennis facilities, park concessions, and other amenities", while leaving the majority of the parks in Austin open. Accordingly, South Austin Tennis Center as well as the two other public tennis centers will remain shut down after the July 4th weekend.

The most dangerous conditions for the spread of CoVID-19 are:

  1. Closed spaces with poor ventilation;
  2. Crowded places with many people nearby; and
  3. Close-contact settings, such as close-range conversation.

Fortunately, playing tennis does not involve any of these "dangerous C's," and data has shown that it is one of the safest forms of exercise as we face CoVID-19. RippnerTennis supports healthy and safe outdoor activities and tennis play despite the closure of our South Austin Tennis Center by the City of Austin.

Accordingly, we are shifting all of our lessons and clinics to our Williamson County Tennis Center, located at 210 Borho Dr, Round Rock, TX, which are available for sign-up at:

Our greatest hope is that with your support, your coaches and staff will have enough lessons and clinics to sustain their livelihoods until we are approved to reopen the SATC location. To that end, all proceeds will be used to sustain these employees.

We appreciate you and hope to see on the courts soon!
