Steve Cobb named Director of High Performance Tennis
In a career as a coach and teaching professional that spans thirty-two years, Steve has a rich history of broad tennis experience. He has helped players from 3 years old to 93, and from first timer to touring pro – and even a Grand Slam Champion. Most recently, he served as the Founder and Director of the Lost Creek High Performance Tennis Training Program. He also served as a National Faculty Coach for USTA Player Development, leading and coaching over 35 High Performance camps and workshops around the country. He is the former Director of Competitive Tennis for USTA-TX, serving in that capacity for eight years.
Steve came to Texas from New York, where he spent 16 years as the Director of Tennis at Scarsdale Golf and Tennis in suburban NY City. While there, he served USTA-Eastern as a Section President, Section Delegate, and National Coach.
Steve holds the High Performance Coaching Certification from the USTA, is a USPTA Elite Professional, and a PTR Professional. He hails from North Carolina, where he played juniors through college tennis. He has taught, coached, or played in over 40 of our 50 states, and in 15 foreign countries. He is a frequent presenter and speaker at various tennis industry events, and is fluent in Spanish. Steve resides in North Austin with his wife Fiona, and their kids Liam, Ryan, and Ciara.
