Coach Sylvia Krywacz joins our staff of tennis pros after working with USTA Texas for the past 3 years as the Junior Team Tennis Coordinator and Junior Competitive Coordinator. She comes from a very extensive background of tennis. She has been playing since she was five years old, along with her three siblings who also played tennis and all received Division 1 tennis scholarships. From 2004-2008, Sylvia played for Pepperdine University and became an All-American in doubles during her time there.

She has been coaching since 2005 and has a wealth of recreational, club, provincial, national, and international experience. From 2010-2013, she worked as a Senior Head Pro for the Lizardo Tennis Academy in Cerritos, California. She played a major role in the building of their Junior Tennis Teams by getting more kids involved with the programs as well as developing a strong love for the game. The academy went from having no Junior Tennis Teams to having teams in the beginners, intermediate, and advanced levels because of Sylvia’s hard work and dedication. During this time, Sylvia also played on the WTA tour where she reached her highest doubles ranking of 317.

Sylvia has enjoyed considerable success in her career as a coach using the Game-Based approach. As a High Performance coach, she has led provincial players to success in Section and National tournaments. Her players have won national titles and some have achieved full scholarships at Universities. Some have gone on to achieve WTA and ATP rankings.

Besides coaching, Sylvia enjoys spending time with her husband, Alfredo, and two daughters, Lucille and Penelope. Most of that quality time is spent on the courts!!
