RippnerRed Summer Camp and Activities

  • Ages 5 to 8
  • Students in this half-day program will improve their athletic and tennis skill sets in a rally-based environment. Our coaches will encourage cooperation and sportsmanship while the students test their limits through competition. In addition to tennis, our red ball students will take part in activities presented by our partners. In the past, these activities have included art, foreign language, and yoga. We still have no solidified our partners for the summer and will post this information as soon as it becomes available. Our Red Ball Summer and Activities Camp includes students from ages 5 through 8 and players will be grouped when appropriate.
  • MondayThursday: 8:00am – 11:00am

RippnerOrange Summer Camp

  • Ages 9 to 10
  • Orange Ball Summer Camp welcomes players currently training on a 60′ court using an orange tennis ball in the intermediate through tournament player level. This half-day program will include athletic development and a focus on rallying skills, spin creation, and use of court dimension. Players will develop their skill sets in the first portion of each training day and continue after break with point play. Each camp will build towards a recommended tournament on the weekends following practice. Families will be required to enter these events on their own but the camp can build towards the competitive weekend. Suggested tournaments listed below

Rippner Competitive Development Summer Camp

  • Ages 11 +
  • Competitive Development Summer Camp is a half-day program that will train players for entry level competition in the Austin metro area. Each camp will included athletic development and footwork with tennis skill acquisition. Players will deepen their skill sets through rallying and competitive situations with each camp day including point play. Each camp will build towards a recommended tournament on the weekends following practice. Families will be required to enter these events on their own but the camp can build towards the competitive weekend. Suggested tournaments listed below.

Rippner High Performance Futures

  • Non-Qualified Tournament Players
  • The High Performance Futures Camp includes high intensity training for the most tournament committed students. Each camp day will include footwork development, range of motion exercises, and core strength training. Students will training their tennis game using the Five Competitive Situations (rallying, net approaching, defending the attack, serving, and returning). Each class will involve match play and a discussion on the Severn Qualities of a Champion (Determination, Toughness, Respect, Resiliency, Professionalism, Engagement, and Confidence). Players in these camps are accustomed to navigating the USTA tournament calendar and should be entering the CATA Gran Prix, Challengers, and local open events.
  • Monday – Thursday: 11:00am – 3:00pm (on court intensive training/fitness/coached match play)

Rippner High Performance

  • Qualified Tournament Players
  • The High Performance Camp includes high intensity training for the most tournament committed students. Each camp day will include footwork development, range of motion exercises, and core strength training.
