Sunday Summer Session Dates:
Session 1: June 4th through June 25th
Session 2: July 9th through August 13th

Days Offered during each Session: You can choose any combination of the classes listed below
Sundays 12:30pm – 2:00pm

Class Description: Students in this class we increase their ability to rally the tennis ball, first, from a ground stroke and, second, from a volley. The prominent focus in this group will be the introduction of ball rotation to shots — topspin and underspin. With increased spatial awareness, students will begin to follow a ball on all three dimensions (height, width, depth) and be trained to move efficiently before and after each shot. This group will also be introduced to the complete service rhythm in which the students learn to move their tossing arm and racquet arm in a controlled manner. More and more of the game situations will resemble actual tennis point play. The most developed students in this group will be challenged to play actual tennis points and participate on our junior tennis team.

Suggested Equipment: 25″ tennis racquet, water bottle, tennis court shoes, jump rope, sport and weather-appropriate clothing
Student-to-Teacher Ratio: 6:1
